Even Kyoko's Surprised! "I'm Kentaro's Father" is the twenty-eighth episode of the Maison Ikkoku anime.
Synopsis[]
To everyone's surprise, Mr. Ichinose (Kentarō's father and Hanae's husband) starts to appear at Maison Ikkoku. Meanwhile, a sports festival at Kentarō's school will feature a parents' three-legged race, so he asks Kyōko and Godai for help. Will Kentarō's parents participate on the race, despite his refusal?

- This episode aired on October 1986, but the Tankobon manga counterpart was published around June 1983.
- That being said, the closest months that comply with these requirements are: September 1982 and June 1983.
- In the scene where the Ichinoses are at their room eating dinner, there is a song in the backround, called "Haru no Arashi no Yoru no Tejinashi" (Magician of the Spring Night Storm) by Agata Moriuo.
