Synopsis[]
Akemi, Yotsuya and Mrs. Ichinose discover that Mitaka is afraid of dogs, so they decide to "help" him by making him undergo weird scenarios involving dogs. Are those attempts to cure his fear gonna be successful? Or is the cure worse than the illness?

- This is an anime original episode.
- There is a scene that takes place at the statue of Hachiko in Shibuya district in Tokyo. Hachiko was a real dog famous for his loyalty to his deceased master.
- In the scene where the tenants discuss Mitaka's condition at night, Godai is reading a "Maison Ikkoku" manga volume (where panels of Akemi and Kyōko are visible).
- In the scene where Mitaka meets Yotsuya in a parking lot, Yotsuya barks to trigger a response from Mitaka. Interestingly enough, Yotsuya's seiyu (Shigeru Chiba) is the one who provides the barking sounds for Sōichirō in the anime.
- The background story of how Mitaka got trapped inside a dog house as a child strongly resembles a scene of the 1993 movie "The Sandlot".
