Kyoko Retires! Ikkoku, A Distant Memory? is the ninetieth episode of the Maison Ikkoku anime.
Synopsis[]
After the events of the last episode, Kyōko has left Maison Ikkoku, and is living again at her parents' apartment. The tenants demand Godai to go and convince Kyōko to return, but even when he goes several times to the Chigusas apartment, she will not even talk back to Godai. And Mr. Otonashi receives the news of Kyōko's resignation, so he decides to hire Godai as a temporary replacement as Manager. How is Kyōko going to cope with her sadness and dissapointment about her quarrel with Godai? How is Godai going to convince Kyōko to return to Maison Ikkoku?

- In the scene where Kyōko is about to go to sleep, she turns off a heater. That heater has the brand "Tokyo Gas" on it. The Tokyo Gas Company (founded in 1885) is the primary provider of natural gas to the city of Tokyo.
