How Touching! A Ring Filled with Grandma's Love! is the ninety-fifth episode of the Maison Ikkoku anime.
Synopsis[]
After the events of the last episode, Yūsaku and Kyōko go to Niigata (his hometown) to present Kyōko as his fianceé to his parents. While in there, Kyōko helps Yūsaku's parents at the restaurant, while grandma Yukari has some presents for both Yūsaku and Kyōko. What will Mr. and Mrs. Godai think about Kyōko? What are grandma Yukari's presents for the happy couple?

Trivia[]
- In the opening scene where Kyōko and Mrs. Ichinose are signing a tennis racket to Mitaka, they are using a tennis racket bag with the legend "HAAD" on it. This may be a reference to the "Head" American-Austrian manufacturer and marketer of sports equipment.
- In the scene where Mitaka is marrying Asuna, the famous Felix Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" in C major is played.
- Even though the episode clearly states that Godai and Kyōko are going to Niigata, they arrive at a place called "Yunomachi Station". In real life, the Awara-Yunomachi Station is located in the city of Awara, in the Fukui Prefecture.
- Some of the dishes that the Godai restaurant serve are Pork cutlet bowls, Tempura bowls, Curry udons and Tempura sobas.
