Synopsis[]
After the events of the last episode, Mitaka is sure something serious happened between Asuna and him on that night together. Days later Asuna tells Mitaka about a member of the Kujo family on the way. Meanwhile Godai is still away from Maison Ikkoku while studying for his final exams. What is Mitaka going to do about Asuna now that things have taken such an unexpected turn? How is Kyōko going to react in the wake of such big news regarding Mitaka?

- In the scene where Mitaka is feeding McEnroe, he has a tennis racket bag with the legend "HEAD" on it. This may be a reference to the "Head" American-Austrian manufacturer and marketer of sports equipment.
- According to a wall calendar on the cabaret nursery room, this episode takes place on a month of December that has 30 days, and starts on a Monday the 1st.
- This episode aired on December 1987, but the Tankobon manga counterpart was published around February 1987.
- So this is most likely an animation mistake, since the previous episode clearly stated it was taking place on December 1987.
- In a scene where Kyōko is washing clothes, the washing machine has the "Piyo Piyo" brand on it.
- In the scene where Asuna is talking about potential names for the future puppies, she mentions names like Crouton, Pate, or Pickles, This follows the trend in which all of Asuna's dogs have names related to food.
