Trivia[]

  • This is an anime original episode.
  • In the scene where Kentarō and Ikuko are watching the photo album while eating ice cream, those photos take place during real events regarding Japan history:
    • There is a photo of "Yotsuya" running in front of Maison Ikkoku at the 1964 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
    • There is a photo of "Yotsuya" as a soldier wearing what seems to be a World War II era japanese military uniform.
    • There is a photo of the Maison Ikkoku Grand Opening Ceremony, with "Yotsuya" on it.
  • In the scene where Kentarō dreams about finding Yotusya on the hall, he tries to defend from Yotsuya by doing the "Specium Beam Pose" from the Ultraman series of japanese shows.
  • In the scene where Kentarō explains the truth of the photo album, Godai points at some photos that also take place during real events regarding Japan history:
    • One photo takes place at the Asakusa International Theater (a 3,860-seat theater located in Asakusa, Tokyo) which was used for concerts and theatrical performances. It opened in 1937 and was closed in 1982. It was demolished and replaced by the Asakusa View Hotel in 1985.
    • Other photo has "Yotsuya" in the grand opening ceremony of the Tokyo subway. This photo is likely referring to the Ginza line which first opened on December 30, 1927.
    • Another photo has "Yotsuya" holding a picture of Hitler while wearing a toothpaste moustache on the day Japan joined the Axis Powers. This would set the date to September 27th 1940, when Saburō Kurusu (representing Japan) signed the Tripartite Pact.
    • Godai mentions a photo referring to an exhibition of "Norakuro", a black and white anthropomorphic dog created by Suiho Tagawa. That character starred on a manga series that ran from 1931 to 1981, and that had several anime films and TV shows.
