Quotes[]

  • "Oh? I thought you were concerned about me. I understand you even told my teacher on me. Your concern wasn't necessary after all, was it?" (Ibuki Yagami)
  • "I couldn't be so assertive. Even when I was Yagami's age, I wasn't like that. I guess that's her personality. Besides, I didn't have a single rival when I was pursuing Sōichirō " (Kyōko Otonashi)
  • "This will be self study time. Please ask Mr. Godai if you have any questions" (Yotsuya)
  • "Manager, please don't bother. I've bought my own tea and cake for us. From now on, your refreshments will be absolutely unnecessary" (Ibuki Yagami)
  • "I should know better than to let a high school girl get to me" (Kyōko Otonashi)
  • "Godai said he may not be able to make it tonight because he has to go out with his preschool co-workers" (Master)
  • "I'm not afraid of heartbreak. I'm afraid that maybe everything was a lie. That's what I'm afraid of" (Kyōko Otonashi)
  • "If what you're saying is true, it's very much like her. She's too serious and rather inflexible. She was very much in love with her husband. There are many truths in this world but she's the type to believe that there is only one truth. So if she falls in love with another man she'd think that her love for her husband was not true. That would be her conclusion" (Mrs. Kamiogi)

Trivia[]

  • In the opening scene at Yagami's room, she has an object that has a symbol that consists of three equilateral triangles that are joined together to create a large equilateral triangle. Although this symbol is mostly recognizable as the Triforce from the "Legend of Zelda" game series, the symbol has an historical reference from the Hōjō clan, a family that took control of Japan in the 13th century.
  • In the scene where Mrs. Kamiogi delivers the tests to the students of class 2-4, she mentions several surnames of students like "Aoki", "Shimamoto" and "Chiba". Those could be nods to some seiyus of the anime: Kazuyo Aoki (the voice of Hanae Ichinose), Sumi Shimamoto (the voice of Kyōko Otonashi) and Shigeru Chiba (the voice of Yotsuya).
  • In the scene where Yagami is studying in Godai's room, there a poster on one of Godai's room walls. That is the "Rolling Stones' logo" (showing a red tongue and lips).
